Spring is here!!!… Since we have great weather all year round; means very little to us Queenslanders, but I am enjoying how all the shops, magazines and fashions are a blossoming with vibrantly coloured goodness!
I couldn’t resist. I had to have one of these rugs! they’re made out of T’shirt material.
|Aura Napery by Tracie Ellis “Ikat Spot in Indigo” for me it was love at first sight! actually I love anything that Tracie does. When I met her, her enthusiasm blew my hair back! She’s so passionate and talented. Its likely you’ll get to know a lot about her work in the future.
Perhaps I’ve gone “rug mad” this week! Yes another rug. BUT this one has a purpose other than looking great and fitting into the bright geometric undertones going on at my place right now. Our house is VERY long and there is lots of doorways. Trying to contain Arvi to designated rooms is not going to happen, so rather than buying 8 ugly baby gates (that are a fantastic safety fixture and save lives everyday), I came up with the plan to try an deter him from making a break for the front door. A heavy duty hessian mat! He is crawling at an alarming speed but HATES anything rough on his hands and knees. He noticed it immediately… tested it out and then became disinterested with the front door. SUCCESS! http://www.annachandler.com/catalogue/products.cfm?mpid=370355&catid=37319&pnodes=37313&isp=0
Matt, Ella, Arvi and I went for a stroll close by home. We moved to the area last June and still have lots of exploring to do. I’m yet to find a good chinese takeaway and decent coffee shop, but the parks close by are beautiful!
On our day of exploration we came across a lonely fig tree.
From park lands and fig trees to busted up matte finish VW. I had to stop and appreciate the character of this car… otherwise tomorrow it might have been towed!
SOCIAL LIFE: Yes I have one! Its not often that Matt and I (a) have the energy to do much (b) have the chance to breakfree from the Mummy and Daddy shackles. Thank god our friends throw great birthday parties! Happy Birthday Rasa!
There’s 2 things I love in this picture. My husband to be Matt and my aztec scarf that Marnie (Matt’s sister) gave me for Christmas. Its becoming a staple in my wardrobe!
Brunch at MUD in Bulimba with Claude and Kelly. We all ate the Eggs Benedict with Truffle Hollandaise. I don’t get to see these 2 much but I love it when we catch up. Sadly the day goes to quickly. http://www.muddessert.com.au/
THIS is my new clutch from “Green Grass” at Bulimba. It was a purchase that was made under extreme peer pressure from Kelly and Claude. It took about 3 seconds to convince me and now I’m happy I could give it a loving home On that note: for weeks I have been rummaging through my over filled wardrobe. Overloaded with many things that don’t fit or are warn out. I need to cleanse my robe of the useless stuff. Much of it will be painful but it must be done! I need to get rid of the pregnancy and post pregnancy clothes, get rid of anything with holes or stains on it (despite how comfortable it is). I have a new regime to work with. I need BASICS with some great statement pieces. Over the next few months you’ll be coming on this voyage with me where I’ll be featuring hot new additions to my “statement” family and I’ll be detailing the outfits I put together. I’m far from model material but I’m in touch with reality and my shape, now the challenge is finding the right stuff to fit itwww.homeandbody.com.au/about/
Have a great week!
