Some while ago I dropped my work commitments back to 2 days a week as a visual merchandiser… Thinking this would allow me more time to manage things at home and on a social front. This week however has mounted up to the point where Matt and I have our eyeballs hanging out of our heads and we’re wondering where all the time is going!
There’s been no major illness happen or any work issues but I seem to find that the more hours we have available the less likely we are to use them for R&R. I read somewhere that time is what we want most but use worst (william penn).
This week was a little silly because it was a mix of visual merchandising, meeting with a client about a show that needs stage design and set up purchasing of plants and product sourcing and working on a project with a fashion designer at the gold coast…… pretty sure I lived in my car for those couple of days! Meanwhile my lovely neighbour invited me to her hairdresser to get a mop chop and have some bevies while we were there.
Birthday dinner with Matt, the kids and both sets of our parents at our place. Love this guy!
Sample of the vintage fabrics I worked with.
My wonderful neighbour and friend Skylee had been taking note of what blows my hair back whenever we’d go shopping. She’s so stealth! Love my new ORLA KEILY pattern book!
TIP of the week: notice a couple of wrinkles on your forehead but not ready for botox? Cut a fringe in on your style and have a few drinks at the hairdressers and WALLAH!
Matt and Ella having a sneaky fish while I keep an eye on Arvi (who at this point was chasing seagulls and throwing old bait into the water then licking his fingers…. so gross)
So despite having a chaotic week when I look back I see that there isn’t anything I could exclude because the balance of work, life and play was perfect! Maybe its just my stamina?!
Anyone got any good tips for time saving at home? and yes I’ve heard that Kim Kardashian sleeps in her gym gear in order to save time for getting dressed in the morning before her work out… but I’ll go one better and not go to the gym in the first place There’s my tip!
Have a great week!
