Brisbane French Festival | Plave Your Own Way to Paris
Aboard the Kookaburra Queen, Brisbane’s most fashionable were treated to a French Fashion week experience while floating on the Brisbane River.
Designers Begitta, Isabella Longginou, Dyani and Lucid presented collections based on the theme “April in Paris”. Unveiling the perfectly polished, french girl style.
Couture Designer, Begitta showcased a romantic fairytale collection of bespoke gowns in the softest pastel tones with plenty of ruffles and a little bit of sparkle.
Brisbane based fashion designer Isabella Longginou channeled the simplicity and feminity of a modern playful French girl by producing clean cut shimmery linen dresses that even Mary Quant would give the nod to.
Dyani exhibited a retro-vintage á la mode to the runway with touches of pastel paired with fearless bold prints.
Très chic label Lucid, has created several pieces you’ll want to wear this spring/summer, all of which capture the ultimate essence of cool.
Plave has curated an inspirational show that builds on the latest upcoming fashion trends for 2014/15. A common thread between all fashion designers was the message of sophistication, empowerment and femininity. Colours reflected this in the way of pastels juxtaposed by a vivid colour palette. Clean lines and impeccable tailoring signified an appreciation for the French lifestyle and culture and its influence on Australian style trends.
